The wombat is a cute, furry little creature of the Australian bush. It sleeps a lot and likes to get down and dirty. The name "wombat" comes from the aboriginals who originally lived in the Sydney area. Wombats have a relatively large brain when compared to other marsupials and although they like to sleep they can become aggressive.
According to Wikipedia, there is an unofficial holiday called Wombat Day on October 22.
My fave stuffed wombat sleeps with me and we both snuggle up on cold nights.
Hmmm, should I be cheeky or not, that is the question! I might incur the revenge of the Wombat and her support team!
